Understanding Our Certifications

Section 80G
— A provision of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (India) that allows donors to claim a 50% deduction on their taxable income for donations made to registered NGOs. Samruddhi Foundation holds a valid 80G certificate.
Section 12A
— A tax-exempt status granted by the Income Tax Department of India to non-profit organisations, confirming that the NGO's income is not subject to tax. Required for an organisation to issue 80G receipts.
CSR (Schedule VII)
— Under the Companies Act, 2013, Indian companies with net worth above ₹500 crore, turnover above ₹1,000 crore, or net profit above ₹5 crore must spend 2% of average net profits on CSR activities listed in Schedule VII. Samruddhi Foundation's programs qualify under Schedule VII.
